She is beautiful, as beautiful as he. Gaston thinks he could spend eternity looking at her and not find a single flaw. There are those awful books she carries around, but Gaston doesn’t mind. For now. Once they are married, she’ll focus her attention on the important things in life: her children, her house and of course, him.

He spends the following weeks following her around, inviting her over to the tavern and sometimes scorting her to her house. She always says no to the tavern, and is quick to go into her house, claiming she needs to help her father. Of course, Gaston thinks, for she must play hard to get, show everyone she’s not thrilled by the prospect of becoming Gaston’s wife. That’s something else about Belle: she’s not following him around like all the girls in town. She knows Gaston wants to marry her and that’s enough. Save all the passion and the joy for their wedding!

When he feels the moment is right, arrangements will be made quickly. Decorations will be up and his friends will be there by his side. All Gaston will have to do is propose. And he knows that will be the easy part.
